Every human heart has been made to praise the Lord. At Southwinds, we love to worship our Savior through song. Every Sunday is filled with hymns of praise and worship songs. If you are interested in playing a part in our music ministry please see come and visit us at our next Praise Choir rehearsal.
Questions About Participation in the Music Ministry
What are the requirements to sing in the choir?
A saved and faithful member of Southwinds.
Do I have to tryout to sing in the choir?
No. Tryouts are not required.
Can I visit to see if I like it?
Yes. As a matter of fact, visiting is the best thing to do. Just come and sit with us during a rehearsal. You will be supplied with rehearsal material during your visit.
When does the Choir rehearse?
Sundays, 5:00-6:00pm
Where does the Choir rehearse?
In the first floor Choir room of the FLC
How do I join the choir?
Simple. After coming to rehearsal, just let our choir secretary know that you desire to join.
Do you do special musical programs?
Yes. The adult Praise Choir typically performs one musical along with special musical events such as Revivals & Conferences.
Can I sing a solo?
If you are interested in singing a solo, please see the minister of music for further details.
Do you have special groups?
Yes. There are a number of Southwinds groups which sing in our services.
Are there any qualifications for me to be able to sing a solo or be in a group?
Yes. You must be a faithful member of the Southwinds Praise Choir or involved in the Southwinds music or AVL ministry.
I play a musical instrument, is there a place for me?
Yes. We are presently building a music ministry to be used in our Sunday services. Please ask the music minister for more details.
